Its arboretums feature trees from around the world, the maze keeps little ones entertained, and there are ponds and meadows teeming with wildlife. Rougham Estate is another option, with popular pick-your-own pumpkin and sunflower events each year.Quaint villages abound in the immediate locality. Further to the south lies Lavenham – Britain’s best preserved medieval village – which is the perfect place for a wander and afternoon tea at The Swan.
Further afield, the delights of Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich are less than one hour away by car or train, and the award-winning Suffolk and Norfolk coastlines aren’t far away for fun-filled day trips or long weekends.
