Colchester Business Centre celebrates its fifth year of SME success

After five years of success, the Colchester Business Centre celebrates its fifth year anniversary this month, as it continues to provide an important office space for aspiring entrepreneurs and local SME companies.

The vibrant work place continues to celebrate an increasing demand for occupants since it first opened in 2008, with a notable 15% increase in the last 12 months.

Dan Woodruff, of Woodruff Financial Planning has been based at the centre since it opened in 2008, and specialises in high-net worth individuals, with incomes of above £250,000 per annum.

Mr Woodruff, who lives in Colchester, says: “As a small business looking to expand I had looked at a number of sites, I wanted to move the business into Colchester Centre because I felt the location would have a positive impact, which it has”.

The purpose built, contemporary office space has been designed to accommodate and be enjoyed by a collection of SME and medium sized companies in up 1,000 sq ft of space.

The serviced offices are located in easy reach of Colchester town centre, offering small businesses and entrepreneurs a space in which they can grow and prosper. The centre provides occupiers with WiFi throughout, 24/7 reception, meeting rooms and crucially the ability to network and collaborate with other occupiers.

Mr Woodruff continues: “My high net worth clients are used to the very best and expect clean, attractive and professional meeting rooms. The conference facilities, meeting rooms, spacious office space and car parking facilities along with stylish interior décor and professional and helpful staff make The Colchester Business Centre perfect for my business.

Utilising the professional reception team, the business center offers companies the services of a virtual office, with the added value of not being based in the centre. Such a service sees Colchester Business Center’s specialist staff answer calls in any business name, allowing small companies to portray a professional and organised image.

Many of the current occupants started by taking advantage of the virtual offices, whilst still working from home – when convenient the transition is easily made to taking up office space. Moreover, the offices benefit from demountable partitions that can be removed between sectors, allowing for natural businesses expansion.

Bob Weston, the founder and chairman of Weston Group, comments: “Since founding Weston Group in 1988, I have continued to look to actively create spaces in which local people and businesses can take full advantage, helping them to succeed in their chosen profession.

“It is a real pleasure to celebrate this important facility in its 5th year, watching the diverse range of companies grow as we do.”

The town is extremely well serviced in terms of commuter connections, with London Liverpool Street less than an hour away by train. The platform at Hythe Station has also been extended and upgraded to accommodate the larger intercity trains direct to London Liverpool Street. The A12 provides a fast route to Chelmsford and to the M25 and on to London.

The business centre offers its services and offices from £180 per calendar month. To find out more about Colchester Centre visit http://www.weston-business-centres.com Or call 0800 542 7229
