An incredible £151,000 has been raised at the 25th Annual Golf Day for St Clare Hospice.
This year’s event took place on Friday 30th August 2019, where a total of 56 teams took part in the charity golf day at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa in Colchester. Two courses were in play, and NK Groundworks were winners of the Gainsborough course while Hashtag Travel won the Constable course, and were also crowned the overall winners of the Daniel Robinson Cup.
An evening of entertainment followed, which included food and drink as well as a special guest appearance by comedian and after dinner speaker Ian Irving.
To raise further funds, an auction took place which included experiences such as a trip to Scotland to play golf with Weston Homes’ Chairman and Chief Executive Bob Weston, dinner at the chef’s table at the Savoy Grill and various sports memorabilia.
The money raised will help St Clare Hospice continue to provide free, compassionate care and support to hundreds of adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border.
Weston Homes would like to thank everyone who took part and helped raise this fantastic amount for such a vital charity.
