Completed mill apartments offer buyers sneak peak

Weston Homes have now completed the first of their one, two and three bedroom Mill apartments on the historic William King Flour Mill site at King’s Island in Denham, Uxbridge. Buyers looking to the outskirts of London for a conveniently located home with a bit of history and wide open landscape need look no further.

The Mill apartments are a mixture of new build and converted apartments on the former William King Flour Mill site and the exclusive collection of individual, character filled homes form the final phase of this stunning, private island development, offering fantastic living spaces and an abundance of features. Many of these luxury apartments have external balconies with beautiful canal and river views, making these homes some of the most interesting and sought after at King’s Island.

Despite this being the first time that home hunters will be able to view the apartments, the development has seen unprecedented sales success with many of the properties already snapped up. Offering a desirable waterside lifestyle, the exclusive island development now has a vibrant and growing community of young families, professionals and retirees with many citing the two canals that surround the site as the main attraction.

Bob Weston, Chairmain and Founder of Weston Homes, comments: “The Mill apartments will no doubt be well received since this is the very first time prospective buyers will be able to view the product.

King’s Island is a unique development with a setting that not many others can boast – bordered by two rivers, steeped in history and offering spacious layouts and an upgraded specification especially for the apartments, these properties won’t stay on the market for very long.”

Paul Bryant, 54, a buyer who purchased a property at the development for investment purposes, says that he is now looking to buy his own home at King’s Island: “I’m not too far off from my 60th birthday, so in the back of our minds my wife and I have thought about winding down and living at King’s Island in the next few years. Right now, this investment is the perfect way to help supplement my pension, but it’s a wonderful development and I can’t think of anywhere better to be living in the future.

“King’s Island is such a unique development on its own waterside island. I was also really impressed with the finish of the homes and felt it was far superior to anything else I had seen.”

Until Victorian times the mills of Uxbridge powered by the rivers Fray and Colne were the main source wealth in the town. Gradually milling ceased to be the main business and the areas previously concerned with growing corn were used instead for market-gardening, brick-making and hay production.

Work has been rapidly progressing at King’s Island with two thirds of the properties already built. Once complete the development will comprise 24 three and four bedroom conversion and new build family houses and 127 one, two and three bedroom conversion and new build apartments.

Prices at The Mill apartments start from £305, 995. For more information or to arrange a viewing, please contact the Sales and Marketing Suite on 01895 232 049 or visit www.weston-homes.com/KingsIsland.
