Weston Homes launches Spring Ways to Buy campaign with an incentive of up to £20,000

Leading volume housebuilder Weston Homes is committed to helping buyers step onto the property ladder and purchase their first home. Weston Homes offers a range of schemes to potential buyers, including their own First-time SecureBuy (FTSB), the Discount Market Sale (DMS) scheme, and Deposit Unlock. Additionally, for those who reserve a new apartment by 29th February 2024, Weston Homes is providing the unique opportunity for buyers to create their own incentive valued at up to £20,000 as part of their Spring ‘Ways to Buy’ campaign, which seeks to guide buyers on the various methods available to get onto the property ladder. To alleviate the challenges faced by people trying to buy a property for the first time, Weston Homes is offering a ‘build your own’ incentive. This means that buyers can receive up to £20,000 to assist with various aspects of purchasing their first home, such as deposit contributions, interior design packages, stamp duty contributions, and contributions towards moving and legal costs. To qualify, buyers simply need to reserve a new apartment or house at one of their developments by 29th February 2024.
Purchasing a first home is an exciting but sometimes stressful time, which is why Weston Homes’ unique First-time SecureBuy (FTSB) gives security and peace of mind, with a full refund of the reservation fee and exchange deposit should a buyer’s circumstances change prior to legal completion, subject to terms and conditions.  The FTSB scheme allows first-time buyers to reserve a home off-plan for just a £500 reservation fee, only requires a 5% exchange deposit and then, six months before build completion, the buyer can apply for a mortgage. Should the value of the property increase in the time between reservation and build completion, buyers will only pay the price agreed on the day they reserved their property. To apply for a mortgage on a newbuild home, the property needs to be within six months of build completion. Weston Homes normally launches newbuild developments 12-24 months before build completion allowing first-time buyers to make the most of off-plan prices. This gives buyers extra time to save and be ready to move into their new home, giving them peace of mind at a time that can otherwise be stressful. Weston Homes’ sales teams are available to support and guide first-time buyers through the process helping to take out any worry along the way.  First Time Secure Buy (FTSB) can be used in conjunction with other incentives and is available on off-plan homes at Dylon Riverside in Sydenham, Abbey Quay in Barking, Brentwood Central in Brentwood, Caxton Square in Wood Green and Tayfen Court in Bury St EdmundsOther schemes include Discount Market Sale (DMS), which offers buyers the opportunity to purchase a new apartment with a saving of up to 30% whilst still giving the buyer 100% of the ownership. Buyers just need to live or work in one of the areas required for the scheme to be valid. Other eligibility terms and conditions apply. DMS is currently available on specific apartments at Dylon Riverside in Sydenham (30% saving), Abbey Quay in Barking (20% saving) and The Venue in Hayes (20% saving). The prices advertised for the DMS properties include the saving.Deposit Unlock is a scheme that has been developed by the Home Builders Federation to provide competitively priced mortgages for newbuild home buyers with a smaller deposit. This scheme, which is available across all Weston Homes developments, allows buyers to reserve a brand-new home with a 5% deposit, making buying a new home more achievable.

In addition to these schemes, there are numerous ways families can help first-time buyers, aside from gifting money. These include interest-earning gifts, income boosters, tax savings, lifetime mortgages, or using their own property as security.
