Architectural Technician

Weston Homes Plc is looking to recruit an Architectural Technician to join our Technical team at our Head Office in Takeley, Essex (Near Stansted Airport).

Ideally we are looking for people with previous residential experience, although we will consider candidates with other experience provided they can demonstrate the ability to detail, are familiar with using Auto-cad, hold a HND Building Studies or equivalent and have knowledge of building regulations.

You will have a proven track record in the production of working drawings and detailing, be well organised and an effective team player. You will be working in a modern office environment in teams, providing specifications, full working drawings and technical support on a range of innovative, new build bespoke schemes, conversions and some mixed use developments.

Site Manager

Weston Homes Plc are recognised both nationally and internationally for their quality. Due to expansion we are seeking to recruit a Site Manager to manage developments in the South East. The diverse projects include new build residential, commercial, conversion and refurbishments.

The successful applicant will have previous experience as a Construction Site Manager, have excellent time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous residential experience, knowledge of the construction industry and a full driving licence are essential.

As a Site Manager you will have full responsibility of managing and coordinating all aspects of a residential site development, ensure all site work is delivered to a high quality standard and that all Health and Safety regulations are implemented and adhered to, represent sites in DC meetings and manage staff performance, carrying out regular staff appraisals.

Project Manager

The diverse projects include new build residential, commercial, conversion and refurbishments.

The successful applicant will have previous experience as a Construction Project Manager, have excellent time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must have experience of multi-storey developments, RC frame and refurbishment and conversion. Previous residential experience, knowledge of the construction industry and a full driving licence are essential.

As a Project Manager you will control the day to day running of the project, read and understand drawings and detailed specifications, have coordination of the entire site, subcontractors, contractors, suppliers and deliveries and monitor and report cost control.

Infrastructure Engineer

Weston Homes Plc is looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical team at our Head Office in Takeley, Essex (Near Stansted Airport).

We are looking for candidates with previous residential experience, hold a HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent and be familiar with Sectional Agreements such as Section 104's, 38's and 278's.

The successful candidates will have a proven track record in the production of designs and drawings, experienced in Auto Cad and an effective team player. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be well organised.

Career Start & Management Trainee

If you are interested in a career in construction and have or expect to obtain 5 GCSE’s (Careerstart) or 2 ‘A’ Levels (Management Trainee) then instead of going to University why not earn while you learn and gain an impressive qualification and career along the way. We are seeking to recruit a number of candidates for our two bespoke training schemes.

Our CareerSTART’ scheme offers career training in a variety of job roles including; Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Buying, Architectural/Engineering and Site Management. The scheme consists of on the job training with one day per week studying at college to achieve initially a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction (2 years) followed by a Higher National Diploma in Construction (2 further years).

Our Management Trainee Scheme offers the opportunity to study to Degree level. Initially time is spent gaining experience in each area of our business, providing an in depth overview of the complete construction process, support services and functions of our business.

CareerSTART:Applicants for Site Management must be 18+, hold a full driving licence, be willing to travel and have transport available to them. For all other positions, applicants must be 16+ and must have achieved or be expected to achieve 5 GCSE’s (grade C or above) including Maths and English.

Management Trainee: For this scheme you must have achieved or be expected to achieve 2 ‘A’ Levels (grade C or above).
