WESTON HOMES FLYS THE FLAG FOR BRITAIN’S ARMED FORCES
25 June 2010
In support of Britain’s Armed Forces Day, held on Saturday 26 June, Home Counties developer Weston Homes will be flying the flag in celebration of the country’s serving heroes across its nine residential development sites thorough out the South East and its head office in Takeley, Essex.
This weekend, the specially designed Armed Forces Day flag, which is based on the Union Jack, will be flown across Weston Homes developments in patriotic support of the serving men and women. The day is an annual opportunity for the nation to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, and from veterans to cadets. Across the country people will be showing their support by holding local events and flying the flag.
Bob Weston, Chairman of Weston Homes, commented: “This is the second year we have supported Armed Forces Day following the inaugural day last year, and we will continue to do so in future years. This day helps to enliven patriotic spirit and is a chance to say thank you for the personal sacrifices made by the services, which is something Weston Homes strongly believes in. For the past three years, Weston Homes has had a day off on St George’s Day and by getting behind the Armed Forces Day, we are continuing our support of national causes.”
All Weston Homes developments will be flying the Armed Forces Day flag over the coming weekend including; New Mercia Hitchin, The Barringtons Raleigh, The Point Maidstone, Mayfield Grange East Sussex, Mayesbrook Manor Barking, Gemini Upminster, Morello Quarter Basildon, The Meads Hertford and Hawkins Wharf, Colchester.
