Weston Homes is delighted to announce that £110k has been raised for St Clare Hospice at the 23rd Annual Golf Day.
Weston Homes has been supporting the Annual Golf Day for 17 years, and with the help and support of those who took part and the sponsors, a record-breaking £110k was raised for the charity.
The day took place on Friday 1st September at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa, Colchester. A total of 53 teams took part in the competition and SPS Brickworks were presented with the prestigious Daniel Robinson Cup as the overall winners.
An evening of entertainment followed the golf, with guests enjoying a four-course dinner as well as a performance from actor and comedian Bobby Davro. To help raise even more for the charity, an auction took place which included experiences and items such as a week’s accommodation in Turkey, a box at the Kia Oval cricket ground to view a county match, a helicopter flight and a signed Rugby shirt by the 2015 England World Cup squad.
The day was enjoyed by all and the money raised will help St Clare Hospice continue to care for hundreds of people across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border, providing free, compassionate care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers.
Weston Homes would like to thank the organisers and the teams that took part for making this year’s Annual Golf Day such a resounding success.
