The development, nestling alongside the River Lea, is an attractive walk of just a few minutes from the centre of Hertford, whilst Tesco is just a couple of hundred yards up the road. Equally convenient is Hertford East Railway Station, almost on your doorstep; with 52 minute journeys to London Liverpool Street leaving every half an hour, City and West End commuting couldn't be bettered.

Air travellers will delight in the close proximity of Stansted and Luton Airports, both around 20 miles distant.

The Meads is also exceptionally well placed for healthy and energetic lifestyles. Hartham Common, just over the river, is sports-orientated, with a multitude of facilities including Hartham Pool and Gym, Hertford Lawn Tennis Club, The Herts Canoe Club and Sele Farm Bowls Club. Rugby, football and fishing are also popular pursuits here. Golf courses in the area are numerous, with the closest, Chadwell Springs, just over a mile away. The four rivers and the Lee navigation, to the south of the town, offer ramblers an enjoyable selection of riverside walks, with the opportunity of discovering all manner of flora and fauna.
