Local Area

In this age of ever more frenetic lifestyles, the concept of peace and tranquillity in our lives seems increasingly elusive. Through the ever-increasing reliance on speed and convenience, metropolitan environments have become increasingly built up, with green space becoming generally less available for relaxation and de-stressing.

However, a few select boroughs of London have realised the importance of retaining the qualities of a more natural lifestyle, and chief among these is the Inner London Borough of Greenwich, home to Eltham. Neighbouring historic woodland at Shooters Hill and the ancient Oxleas Wood, together with Eltham Parks and extensive parkland heading into Avery Hill Park make this area a jealously guarded oasis of calm the envy of busier, more built -up locations. Yet life in Eltham does not deprive residents of the advantages of living so close to the centre of London.

Eltham rail station is under a mile away, with trains into London's Charing Cross, Canon Street and Victoria all around half an hour away, bringing the attractions of the city and west end within easy reach.

The road infrastructure in this area is equally excellent; the A2, a couple of minutes away, leads across to the heart of London, or down to the M25, just a short drive away, and south east to Canterbury. London City Airport is a 2.5 mile journey, ideal for international destinations.
